제 3회 CATK 연례 학술대회 공고 (Call for Paper & 학회 참가 등록)

CATK 회원 여러분께,

다들 안녕하셨는지요. 급변하는 COVID-19 상황으로 제 3회 학술대회에 대한 공지가 늦어진 것에 대해 이해해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 현재 온타리오 주의 코로나 상황과 백신 공급 수준을 감안하여 제 3회 캐나다한국어교육학회 연례 학술대회는 오는 8월 17일(화) 대면과 비대면으로 동시에 진행하기로 결정하였습니다. 발표자와 참석자 모두 현장 혹은 온라인으로 참석하실 수 있습니다.

이번 학회 주제는 "Re-imaging Post-pandemic Language Learning and Pedagogical Innovation”으로 팬데믹 이후의 한국어 교육과 학습 방식의 변화와 혁신, 그리고 그에 따른 교사들의 역할에 대하여 논의를 하고자 합니다. 선정된 학회 주제 뿐만 아니라 한국어 교육과 학습에 관한 전반에 걸친 다른 주제들과 관련된 발표 신청을 통해 적극적으로 학회에 참여해 주시길 바랍니다. 대학 관계자들은 물론 초중고 선생님들과 대학원생 여러분을 비롯한 모든 한국어 관련 전문가 여러분들의 적극적 참여를 기대합니다.


A. 홈페이지 등록 및 학회 무료 멤버쉽 구입

아직 홈페이지에 등록을 하지 않은 회원분들께서는:

1) [My Account] 에 [Register] 하신 후에
2) My Account에 있는 Change/Signup Membership 메뉴를 이용해서 Free Membership을 구입하시면 회원등록이 완료됩니다.

Membership을 등록하신 분들은 CATK 연례 학술대회에 초록을 제출할 수 있고, 학회에서 보내는 공지사항과 정보를 받을 수 있습니다. 올해까지는 Free Membership을 유지할 계획입니다.


B. 초록 제출 (7월 6일 화요일부터 제출 가능)
1. 학회 발표 유형 (발표 20분, 질의응답 10분)
(1) 연구 논문: 한국어와 한국학 학습 및 교육 관련 학술적 연구 발표 (연구 동기, 데이터 수집, 연구 분석 및 결과에 대한 토론 포함 필수)
(2) 교수 자료 교환: 교수법 및 교재 개발 관련 발표

2. 초록 제출 시 유의 사항
(1) 발표 신청은 CATK 회원이어야 가능 (무료 회원 가입: 위에 있는 A. 참고)
(2) 길이: 영어 또는 한국어로 최대 300자 + 참고문헌 200자
(3) 초록 파일 형식: MS Word 혹은 PDF
(4) 초록 제출 마감: 2021년 7월 12일 (월)
(5) 제출할 곳: catk.ca 로 로그인 후 우측 상단에 있는 [Abtract] 탭을 눌러 [+New Abstract] 버튼을 선택하여 양식에 맞춰 등록
(6) 초록 승인 여부: 7월 14일 (수)까지 개별 통보

C. 학회 참가 등록 (7월 6일 화요일부터 접수 가능)
1. 현장 참가 방법
(1) 학회 참석은 CATK 회원이어야 가능 (무료 회원 가입: 위에 있는 A. 참고)
(2) 학회 장소: Deerhurst Resort, Huntsville ON
(3) 현장 참가비: 2인 1실 사용- 개인별로 $100 (2박 3일, 8/16-18일, 호텔 총 숙박료 중 80%가 지원된 금액)
(4) 현장 참가 등록: catk.ca 로 로그인 후 [Conference]에 [2021 학회 등록] 버튼을 이용하여 현장 참가 숙박비를 지불하여 현장 참가 등록 완료
(5) 현장 참가 등록 마감: 7월 15일 (목)


2. 온라인 참가 방법
(1) 학회 참석은 CATK 회원이어야 가능 (무료 회원 가입: 위에 있는 A. 참고)
(2) 온라인 참가 등록: 무료
(3) 등록하는 곳: 로그인 후 [Conference]에 [2021 학회 등록] 버튼을 이용하여 온라인 참가를 선택하여 등록 완료
(4) 온라인 참가 등록 마감: 7월 31일
(5) 학회 Zoom 링크: 등록하신 분에 한해 추후 안내

We are pleased to announce the third annual conference of the Canadian Association of Teachers of Korean (CATK). Considering the current public health situation and vaccine rollout rate in Ontario, the conference will take place at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, ON on August 17, 2021 and via Zoom simultaneously. Both presenters and attendees can participate in either format.

With the theme “Re-imaging Post-pandemic Language Learning and Pedagogical Innovation,” the 3rd annual CATK meeting invites proposals for discussion of how to improve and strengthen the curricula in classrooms and role of language educators in the post-pandemic era. We also welcome proposals and abstracts that discuss other aspects of learning and teaching of the Korean language and/or culture.

A. Registration for CATK website and Free Membership
For those who have not registered for CATK website:

1) Go to catk.ca, click [My Account] tab and select [Register] to fill out the form, and
2) Using [Change/Signup Membership] under [My Account], purchase [Free Membership] to complete the registration.

To submit an abstract for annual conferences and receive announcements from CATK, you must purchase Membership, which will be free by the end of 2021.

B. Abstract submission (Available from July 6)
1. Presentations (20 minutes, followed by Q&A for 10 minutes)
(1) Conference paper: Presentation of research on topics pertaining to teaching and learning of Korean. The abstract should include clearly stated research motives and objectives, description of data and analysis, and discussion of implications for teaching and future research.
(2) Teaching material exchange: Presentations of original and classroom-tested teaching materials or activities. The abstract should include a description of target learners, objectives of instruction, the materials and its effect in learning.

2. Submission Guideline
(1) Abstracts must be submitted by a member of CATK. (Free Membership: Refer to A. above)
(2) Length: Maximum 300 words (English or Korean) + References or data 200 words maximum (if applicable)
(3) Format of the abstract: The file must be in MS Word or PDF formats.
(4) Due date: July 12, 2021
(5) Submission: Log in to catk.ca, select the [Abstract] tab and click [+New Abstract]. Then fill out the form as instructed on the page.
(6) Notification of acceptance: To be sent individually by July 14

C. Conference Registration (Available from July 6)
1. On-site conference registration
(1) Registration must be completed by a member of CATK. (Free Membership: Refer to A. above)
(2) Venue: Deerhurst Resort, Huntsville ON
(3) Registration fee: 2 persons per room -$100 (3 days, Aug.16-18; The fee is 20% of the total hotel cost.)
(4) Registration at: Log in to catk.ca, select [Conference] tab and click [2021 학회등록] button to complete the registration fee.
(5) Deadline: July 15, 2021

2. Online conference registration
(1) Registration must be completed by a member of CATK. (Free Membership Registration: https://catk.ca/abstract/?task=register)
(2) Registration fee: Free
(3) Registration at: Log in to catk.ca, select [Conference] tab and click [2021 학회등록] button.
(4) Deadline: July 31, 2021
(5) Zoom link will be provided for registrants.
